- Flores recently retired as Associate Vice President, Human Resources Programs at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI), where he was the founding human resources executive officer. During his tenure, CSUCI was awarded “Employer of Choice” for Ventura County from 2002-2006 due to its wellness programs and family-friendly benefits. Flores was a member of CUPA (College and University Professional in Human Resources for 18 years, serving as Vice-Chair from 1992-93. He is the recipient of a 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award for “Outstanding Contributions to the HR Profession” by CUPA. Flores’ consulting expertise includes: EEO and sexual harassment investigations, with over 400 cases of sexual harassment and discrimination to his credit, with an emphasis in employment and discrimination law. Other strengths include training; staff relations; employee handbooks and general HR Generalist assignments.
